Overview
In order to foster a conference environment that better reflects the diversity of the community, the IIIF Consortium is pleased to announce two travel scholarships to attend the Annual Conference being held this year in Leeds, UK.
Sponsorship
A named conference travel scholarship is a great sponsorship opportunity including logos on the IIIF website and conference slides, and named acknowledgements throughout plenary program
– if interested, see our conference sponsorship page or email staff@iiif.io with any questions.
Scholarship details and expectations
- The IIIF Consortium will provide up to $2000 to reimburse travel, lodging, and meals
- The recipient is responsible for booking travel and logistics (although if upfront payment is an issue, we can help with some coordination), and for submitting expenses within 30 days of the conclusion of the conference
- Recipients are expected to handle any paperwork requirements for travel to Leeds, England, but if letters of support or invitation are necessary the IIIF Consortium will provide those upon request
- During the conference, recipients are expected only to be engaged participants, and there is no expectation of volunteer work
- Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to present a lightning talk during the main conference session
- There will also be additional opportunities for contact and connection, including possible mentorship opportunities to be finalized closer to the date of the conference
